Jennifer English is one of America's most exciting and articulate culinary personalities. She is an award winning talk show host, national tastemaker, entrepreneurial success story, and a broadcast pioneer as well. With the launch of The Food & Wine Radio Network in December 1999, English and her company Brandnewmedia, LLC began a new chapter in broadcasting by becoming the first national talk radio network dedicated exclusively to the delicious, entertaining and dynamic world of food, wine and the good life. Since 2001 the Food & Wine Radio Network has been heard by a passionate growing audience in over 65 cities and live worldwide on the Internet. The newest show on the network is Sunday Brunch, which is heard weekly on the Good News Radio Network throughout Southern Arizona, including AM 690 KVOI, from 2-4pm each Sunday.
The award winning Don't Talk With Your Mouth Full, which was heard nightly, coast-to-coast during "drive time for the hospitality industry": at 9:00pm-12 midnight PT will be re-launched in an audio webcast on-demand format in Spring 2006. In addition the network also produces & distributes The Food & Wine Radio Network Show, Gourmet Play-by-Play, Spa Foods, WineWords, ChefSpeak, The Great Women of Wine, Short Snorts, I Know What You Ate Last Summer and All-Star Eats.
The Food & Wine Radio Network Show won the 2002 James Beard Foundation/Viking Range Best Radio Show About Food Award. In May of 2001, The Foundation of American Women in Radio & Television awarded The Food & Wine Radio Network's "The Holiday Gourmet" show with the prestigious Gracie Allen Award. The James Beard Foundation Awards named the network's flagship show, The Food & Wine Radio Network Show as "Best Radio Show About Food" nominee in 2000. With James Beard Foundation Award nominations again in 2003 and 2004, The Food & Wine Radio Network Show is now established in reputation and practice as the "best in the business."
Jennifer's passion, expertise and experience have been earned by doing almost every job in the food business. She has hawked hot dogs at football games, spun pizzas, shaken and served classic cocktails, concocted clam chowder on Cape Cod, and perfected lox, eggs and onions at the local Jewish deli. Jennifer cater-chef'd her way through her studies at Suffolk University School of Law and while earning her MBA from Suffolk's Sawyer School of Management in her hometown of Boston, with a dual concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
Prior to founding the Food & Wine Radio Network, Jennifer was a senior executive and strategic marketing consultant for several prominent advertising & public relations agencies such as Cone Communications and Gearon & Hoffman. Her past clients included top Fortune 100 brands and companies such as Burger King, Perrier Group of America/Nestle Waters, Campbells/Pepperidge Farm, Kimberly Clark, Frito-Lay, and Bausch & Lomb. Jennifer was a team member on the pioneering Cause Related Marketing category launch and the original Cone Roper Cause Related Marketing consumer studies.
Today Jennifer's professional affiliations include the Foundation for American Women in Radio & Television, National Association of Broadcasters, Women Chefs & Restaurateurs, Slow Food International, The American Institute of Wine & Food, and the James Beard Foundation, and Culinary Guild of New England, The Professional Advisory Board of the Aspen Center for Integral Health, The Tucson Originals, and the National Advisory Board of CIRA, and the Museum of the American Cocktail. Jennifer makes her home in Tucson, Arizona with Beau Regards & Maurice her well fed pug dogs.
